About 2,500 people have been left without electricity due to an unexpected power cut.
Engineers are investigating the fault on a high-voltage overhead line in Thanet’s Broadstairs area.
UK Power Networks says it was made aware of the cut shortly after 6.30am today.
“We are sorry for any disruption this may have caused you,” it shared on its website.
“We did not know in advance there would be a power cut, but now we know, our teams will do everything they can to get your power back quickly.”
The operator adds engineers are at the site carrying out investigations into the fault.
“Once they have completed their assessment, they will carry out repairs,” it added.
Customers in the CT10 1, CT10 2, CT10 3, CT9 2 and CT9 3 postcodes are all affected.
UK Power Networks does not yet have an estimated time for when power will return.
“We are working to give you a more specific time for when your power will be back on,” the operator said.
“As soon as we get an update from our engineers we will display a time.”
