An Antony Gormley sculpture has been installed in Margate.

The Turner Contemporary gallery will be home to the figure by the artist who created the Angel of the North.

The piece, from Gormley's series ANOTHER TIME, has been placed on the chalk bed in front of the gallery and will be visible from the gallery windows.

The sculpture is one of a series of 100 across the UK, which are identical to the 100 sculptures from his 2007 work ANOTHER PLACE.

The site in Margate is part of Thanet’s stretch of coastal chalk which is the longest in the UK.

At high tide the sculpture, which is a cast of the artist's body, will be completely submerged beneath the sea.

It will stay in place until November.
