Armed police called after ‘man threatens woman with weapon’ in Royal Crescent, Ramsgate

Armed police were called after a man allegedly threatened a woman with a weapon.
Officers were scrambled to a disturbance in Royal Crescent near Ramsgate Harbour this morning.
The force says threats were made to a woman by a man who was understood to be in possession of a weapon.
“It was reported that the man left the scene by car,” a police spokesman said.
“Officers, including armed units, attended and were supported by the National Police Air Service in a search of the area.
“A man was later arrested in the local area in connection with the incident.
“Inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.”
It is understood no firearm has yet been located.
