Arrest after crash near Garlinge High Street

A motorist involved in a two-car smash-up which saw a main road close has been arrested.
Police were called to Canterbury Road in Garlinge shortly after 9am today following a crash between a car and a van.
A police spokesman said this afternoon: “Officers attended and a man was arrested on suspicion of being unfit to drive through drugs.
“No injuries were reported.”
Garlinge High Street was closed at the junction with the road for vehicle recovery.
The route has since been cleared.
