A teenager has been arrested following a suspicious incident involving a school boy.

It was reported to police that between 3pm and 4pm on Tuesday, a secondary pupil was walking along Star Lane, Margate, when he was approached by another boy described as being aged in his late teens.

The older boy was said to act suspiciously towards the younger boy, who was able to walk away from the scene.

A 17-year-old from Margate has been arrested in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail until July 20 pending further enquiries.
