Arrest as BMW stolen from Dover spotted at fuel station in Minster near Ramsgate

A stolen BMW will be returned to its rightful owner after being spotted at a fuel station.

At 6.20pm yesterday, two officers from the Kent Special Constabulary on patrol in Minster, near Ramsgate, intercepted a car which had been reported stolen from outside an address in Dover earlier that day.

The driver was arrested at the scene and later released pending further investigation of the circumstances.

The vehicle has been seized and will be returned to its owner.

Posting on X, Kent Specials said: “Even car thieves need to stop for fuel …. should have filled up quicker.

“Stolen vehicle recovered and suspect identified within an hour of being reported stolen.”
