Morrisons staff 'assaulted' after alleged shoplifting incident in Margate

A member of Morrisons staff was reportedly bundled to the ground during an incident at a store this morning.
Police arrested two men following the altercation in Margate at around 8am.
It was reported one of the security guards at the College Walk store was involved along with two other men.
A spokesman for Kent Police confirmed a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting and assault.
A second man, aged 45, was also taken into custody by police after it was discovered a warrant was out for his arrest.
Police said they were called following "a report of a disturbance".
A spokesman for Morrisons said: "Our stores should be safe places for our colleagues to work. As such we adopt a zero tolerance policy to any sort of criminal or anti social behaviour.
"The matter is now in the hands of the police."
