A teenager has been arrested in connection with two burglaries.

The 16-year-old, who cannot be named, was taken in to custody after two incidents in Prospect Road, Birchington.

It is reported he tried to get in a house between 11pm on Tuesday, January 10, and 1am on Wednesday, January 11.

The boy also targeted another property in the same road between 9.30pm on Tuesday, January 10, and 7am the following day where a glass door panel was damaged, according to reports.

The teen, who is from Margate, was arrested earlier today on suspicion of burglary.

Investigations are ongoing.
