Man in BMW in Wesgate-on-Sea tries to steal boy's bike

A boy managed to cycle to safety after a man in a BMW demanded he hand his bike over.
The teenager was cycling along Canterbury Road, Westgate-on-Sea, near the junction with Quex Road at around 8.20am on Tuesday when the car pulled up.
The man got out of the vehicle and shouted at the youngster to hand over his bicycle.
The suspect followed him for a short distance on foot but stopped and the boy was able to cycle away from the scene.
A police spokesman said: "The suspect was described as a black man aged between twenty and thirty years old, with a natural afro hairstyle and dressed in black."
