Kent Police hunt man after incident in New Street, Margate

A suspected burglar fled through an open window when the occupant of a house saw him inside it.

Detectives have today released a computer-generated image of a man they want to trace.

Officers were called at 9.40pm on Friday, October 7, after the incident in New Street, Margate.

The man is described as white, 18 to 24 years old, 6ft 1in tall, of stocky build with dark brown hair.

He was wearing a light grey tracksuit and a black woollen hat with a peak.

PC Peter Frampton said: "I am keen to speak to this man and hope somebody will recognise him from the image.

"We would also like to speak to anyone who may have been in New Street at that time as they may have seen this man and have information that could help."
