Margate: Car left by travellers 'blown up' in Dane Valley Green

A car dumped by the latest lot of travellers to leave Dane Valley Green, Margate, has reportedly been 'blown up' in a late night attack.
The abandoned car was 'blown up' last night by people Dane Valley Councillors are branding 'local yobs' on Facebook.
The travellers left the site at the weekend leaving behind the car, a caravan and general waste.
Cllr Gary Hillman and Cllr Gary Taylor spent time on Sunday clearing up the mess.
On Facebook today, Cllr Taylor posted: "The abandoned car left by travellers on Dane Valley green was blown up last night by the local yobs.
"After repeated concerns of which residents and Dane Valley Cllrs reported, this is the outcome.
"Even after meeting council officials and local police again on Monday there' the neighbourhood has been let down by slow actions."
After the travellers left over the weekend, Cllr Taylor posted on Monday: "The travellers leave Dane Valley Margate and left behind a car and a caravan.
"Even after Cllr Gary Hillman and myself had a clear up yesterday the scumbags still left a mess.
"The police, TDC Enforcement and the DVLA have not dealt with any offence or concerns they have committed after being reported."
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was made aware of a vehicle on fire in Dane Valley Road, Margate at 12.44am on Wednesday 2 August 2017.
"Officers attended the scene.
"Following enquiries the vehicle is believed to be abandoned and the matter has been passed to the local authorities."
