Football fans say England's stunning victory over Germany was marred by chaotic scenes at a Kent theme park.

Hundreds of supporters gathered to watch tonight's sensational 2-0 win over their arch rivals at Dreamland in Margate.

But Harry Kane's goal for the Three Lions sparked chaotic scenes which saw dozens of tables flipped over, flares set off and fans storm the stage.

One security guard was seen fighting back tears as she watched on helpless as fans ran riot in the wake of the win.

Another was seen stepping in between two topless men as tensions boiled over.

One fan who witnessed the chaos said: "It was absolute carnage.

"It had been a really good night until the second goal went in, and then people just lost their heads.

"We had a table full of beers which was just flipped over, with benches chucked all over the place.

"There must have been at least 30 tables overturned. Dreamland staff ended up just dragging them away.

"Other fans climbed over the railings and were up on the stage setting off flares and throwing them into the crowd.

"Security couldn't really do anything about it as there were so many people. I felt a bit sorry for them."

After tonight's victory, which was watched by about 800 people at Dreamland, England will play Sweden or Ukraine in the quarter finals on Saturday night.

Another fan said: "I had a table booked for the quarter-finals but I'm not sure I'll bother now.

"If people are as boisterous as they were tonight for a 5pm kick-off on a Tuesday, you can only imagine what it'll be like at 8pm on a Saturday.

"It really did ruin what should have been a great night to be an England fan."

Some fans did not let the chaos spoil their evening.

Matt Woodward said: “I can’t even put it into words. It was amazing. Probably the best feeling I’ve had in football in ages.

“The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was singing, everyone was jumping on each other. It’s phenomenal.”

Brendan Faulks said he was feeling ecstatic and happy.

His friend Scott said: “I don’t even know what to say. It’s so good, the feeling.”

Another fan, Jamie Ridgeway said: “We haven’t played like that in ages. It was so good.
