Cat shot dead by air rifle

A cat has died after being shot in the stomach by an air rifle.
Police are appealing for information after Bridie was shot in Ramsgate on Friday night.
Bridie's owner found his pet lying in the back garden in Windermere Avenue on Saturday morning and rushed it to a vet, who found an air gun pellet had gone through its stomach.
Unfortunately the pet died yesterday.
Anyone with information about who may have been shooting in the area is urged to contact police on 01843 578150.
