A nostalgic nineties girl group have been announced as the headline act of one the county’s most popular pride events.
C'est la Vie singers B*Witched, Claire Richards from Steps and Blue’s Duncan James will perform alongside drag race stars Jonbers and Just May at Dreamland’s Margate Pride festival.
The LGBTQ+ celebration will also give fans the opportunity to see Rupaul's Drag Race queens Le Fil and Kent’s own River Medway.
Dexter Clift, who performs as River Medway, grew up in Medway and appeared on the third series of the popular reality show.
A spokesman for Dreamland said: “Join us for rainbow-soaked celebrations by the sea as Margate Pride heads to Dreamland!
“This is set to be a jam-packed party with a glittering line-up including B*Witched, Claire Richards, Duncan James, Secret Special Guest, Jonbers, Just May, Le Fil, and hosted by River Medway. With even more acts still to be announced, you don't want to miss this!”
The coastal Pride has grown in popularity over the past few years, drawing increasingly large crowds to the event.
This year the festivities will take place on Saturday, August 12.
Tickets to the Dreamland portion of the party will set you back £25 but the rest of the event is free to attend.
The day will start with performances, workshops and a rally at the Oval Bandstand before a parade through the town in the afternoon.
Organisers have also teased that they will also be hosting a secret special guest at the summer shindig.
At the Dreamland after party, which will be held at the Hall by the Sea venue, former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt will run the “Don’t Cha Disco” alongside Dame Jame and Mr Theo late into the evening.
Dreamland’s Pride party tickets go on sale at midday this Thursday.
