Claims made against Manston airport owners in online blog

The new Manston airport site owners are preparing to respond to claims that another of their developments has financial problems.
An anonymous blog has published a series of claims online about the financial viability of Winyard Park, another of the consortium’s developments in north-east England.
It is run by Trevor Cartner and Chris Musgrave, who took a majority share in the airport site in a shock announcement last month.
In their announcement the consortium, which is also involved in Discovery Park in Sandwich, said they envisaged a £1 billion redevelopment of the Manston site, over a 20-year period, into a mixed-use scheme which would create more than 4,000 jobs.
A spokesman for Mr Cartner and Mr Musgrave said: “We have seen the blog and we are going to provide a considered response but we are not in a position to do so immediately.”
