Ramsgate: Council worker suffers head injuries in assault at Western Undercliff

An on-duty council worker has suffered head injuries after being assaulted by another man.
Police were called to Western Undercliff area of Ramsgate at about 8.40am following the report.
The victim was taken to hospital with injuries to his face and head.
The attack has been branded "totally unacceptable" by Thanet District Council.
A spokesman said: "Attacks on any member of our staff, who do a vital role in our community, are totally unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
"There is absolutely no justification for any worker to be threatened or physically attacked while doing their job.
"The matter is currently being investigated by the police."
Officers are carrying out inquiries into the circumstance behind the incident.
No arrests have been made.
