A serious crash involving a motorbike has closed the A299 in both directions in Cliffsend.
The road is shut between the A256 Lord of the Manor roundabout and the Sevenscore roundabout.
Police say the road will remain closed until at least 7pm.
Emergency services are at the scene and there are reports of delays in the area.
There is also slow moving traffic through Pegwell Bay and Cliffsend as a result of diverting traffic.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police is currently attending a serious road traffic collision involving a motorbike on the A299 at Cliffsend.
"Officers were called to the scene at 1.51pm and the road is currently closed between the Sevenscore roundabout and the Lord of the Manor roundabout while the emergency services deal with the incident.
"Motorists are advised to avoid the area."
