Cliftonville: Kent Police appeal for information after van driver tried to entice young girl

A man with a South African accent is being hunted by police after asking a young girl to get into his van.
The victim was walking along Northdown Road, Cliftonville, when she was approached by the man in a black transit van. She ran home to tell relatives.
The man is described was black, around 29 years old, with stubble and was wearing a black top.
The van is described as having blacked-out windows down its side.
The incident happened between 3pm and 3.38pm on Thursday, September 15, but details have only just been released.
Appealing for information today, PC Nick Devine said: "We have been making extensive inquiries into vehicles of this make and colour.
"I would urge anybody who thinks they have seen the van or driver to contact us."
