Duo taken to hospital after suspected Thanet village assault

A suspect has appeared in court after two men required hospital treatment following a serious assault.
Kent Police was called to Rossetti Road, Birchington, at 11.25am on Wednesday (June 12).
Officers found two men had sustained injuries which required hospital treatment.
David Furlong, of Main Road, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He is also accused of being in possession of cannabis.
The 35-year-old appeared before Margate Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Furlong was then remanded in custody to appear at Canterbury Crown Court on July 15.
