Ramsgate: Elderly man pushed to his knees during robbery in James Street

An elderly man was pushed to his knees during a robbery.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the pensioner reported being attacked in Ramsgate between 8am and 8.20am on Wednesday.
The 87-year-old’s wallet was stolen during the incident in James Street, near the junction with Addington Street.
He told officers he was walking to the shops when he was approached by a man who asked him for money.
The man is then reported to have pushed the victim to his knees and stolen the wallet from his right trouser pocket before running away in the direction of a nearby car park.
The suspect is white, 6ft, with short fair hair and wearing a light grey shirt and trousers.
