Woman dies in hospital after being pulled from water at Ramsgate seafront

A woman who was rescued from the sea by emergency services this morning has died in hospital.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Ramsgate seafront at about 5.20am following concerns for a woman, who is believed to be from the area and in her 40s.
Emergency services, including five police cars, two ambulances and the coastguard were parked at the junction of Royal Harbour Approach and Military Road.
The Ramsgate lifeboat was launched just before 5.30am to take part in the rescue and eyewitnesses report someone being pulled from the water.
Police said a woman had been taken to a local hospital but since died.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
