Margate: Emergency services called to Grosvenor Place

Emergency services descended on a residential street after fears were raised about the welfare of people in a house.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to a home in Grosvenor Place in Margate just before 11am yesterday.

Two people were sent to hospital and 30-year-old man from Margate was arrested on suspicion of supplying heroin.

The man has since been released without charge after no offences were reported, and the two people that went to hospital have been released.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Kent Police was called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 10.51am on Wednesday April 12 2017, regarding a concern for the welfare of occupants at a private address in Grosvenor Place, Margate."
