Ramsgate: Emergency services called to basement flat fire in Hardres Street

Two fire engines along with police and ambulance crews were called to a basement flat fire in Ramsgate.
A number of people were treated for smoke inhalation after emergency services were called out just after 11am.
A fire service spokesman said: "Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to a fire in the basement of four-storey building used as a restaurant and flats in Hardres Street, Ramsgate.
"Two fire engines attended.
"A number of people were treated for smoke inhalation and passed in the care of SECAmb.
"Kent Police was also in attendance.
"The cause of the fire is not yet known."
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was made aware of a fire at a property in Hardres Street, Ramsgate, at 11.16am on Monday 13 November 2017.
"Officers are currently at the scene assisting Kent Fire and Rescue Service and carrying out enquiries into the cause of the incident."
An ambulance spokesman said: "One ambulance crew attended the scene following reports of a fire.
"No one has required hospital treatment."
Crews have now left the scene.
