Emergency surgery for pregnant woman struck by car

A PREGNANT woman had to have a Caesarean section after she was struck by a car.
The 32-year-old, who was seven months pregnant, was taken for emergency surgery at the QEQM hospital at Margate after the crash at the town's Canterbury Road on Wednesday afternoon.
The baby was unhurt but the woman suffered leg injuries.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident which involved a dark blue BMW. Anyone with information is asked to telephone on 01843 231055.
