Family of swans cause railway delays in Birchington

A family of swans on a railway line caused delays last night.
Passengers were held up in Birchington as Network Rail workers struggled to move them as the parents were very protective of their cygnets.
Network Rail tweeted: "Apologies to @Se_Railway passengers if you were delayed in the #Birchington area last night - our team were struggling to move this family off the tracks as mummy and daddy swan were very protective of their cygnets.
"Working for Network Rail requires a variety of skills..."
