A canopy at a railway station caught alight prompting firefighters to attend the scene.
The incident occurred at Margate railway station in Station Approach, Margate and crews were called at 3.19pm.
Two fire engines arrived to find the fire had already been put out.
But firefighters used flexi-packs (portable water tanks with spray) to dampen down any remaining hot spots.
No injuries were reported, and fire and rescue teams say they believe the cause of the fire was accidental.
