Firefighters were called to rescue a trapped jack russell which had fallen into an underground drain.
The crews were called shortly after 1pm yesterday after reports the dog had fallen into the water in Columbus Avenue between Acol and Minster in Thanet.
They used specialist hydraulic drills and dry suits to release the dog and helped it with a recently donated pet oxygen mask.
It was reunited with its owner and taken to the vets to be checked shortly after 2pm.
