Kent Fire and Rescue called to Broadstairs in Thanet to tackle house fire

Two fire engines attended a house fire in Broadstairs this morning.
Crews arrived at a two-storey home in Percy Avenue at 9.23am and left one hour later.
A Kent Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “When crews arrived smoke was billowing from the ground and first-floor windows.
“Firefighters used breathing apparatus and a positive pressure ventilation fan for the incident which was located on the ground floor.
“The cause of the fire is not yet known.”
