Drugs and weapons charges after police raid in Surrey Road, Margate

Five people will appear before magistrates tomorrow after an early-morning police raid.
The operation targeted a property in Surrey Road, Margate, at 3am on Friday.
Members of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate reportedly discovered a sawn-off shotgun and drugs.
Yesterday, five people arrested in connection with the operation were charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin, cocaine and cannabis and possessing criminal property.
They are: Ashley Cairns, 32, of Surrey Road, Margate; William Cairns, 65, of Surrey Road, Margate; Phillip Gibson, 19, of Surrey Road, Margate; Jordan Bourton, 20, of Surrey Road, Margate, and a 17-year-old boy from Margate.
Gibson and the boy have also been charged with possessing a prohibited weapon.
They have all been remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
