Forensic teams seen at house in Nash Road, Margate, amid investigation into historic child protection incident

Forensics have searched a house after new information came to light in a child protection investigation.
Officers carried out a warrant at a home in Nash Road, Margate, on Wednesday and left the scene today.
It relates to an incident involving previous occupants, but the property has since been ruled out of the investigation.
Two people have been arrested in connection to the case.
During searches, a tent was seen in the garden, and neighbours reported a large police presence including door-to-door enquiries.
A police spokesman said: “Kent Police carried out a pre-planned warrant at a house in Nash Road, Margate, on Wednesday, October 9 after receiving new information regarding a child protection incident suspected to have taken place in 2021.
“The enquiries relate to previous occupants of the property and two people have been arrested and released on bail.
“Enquiries at the property have since concluded and it has been excluded from the investigation.”
