Nicole Elkabbas charged with fraud after claiming to have cancer and accepting thousands in donations

A woman who claimed to have cancer has been charged with fraudulently accepting £45,350 in donations.

Nicole Elkabbas, of Edge End Road in Broadstairs, is charged with six counts of fraud following an investigation by detectives from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

The 40-year-old is alleged to have falsey claimed to have required treatment for cancer in order to receive money from the public between February and August last year.

Ms Elkabbas was charged on Friday, April 5 and will appear before Margate magistrates on Thursday, May 2.
