Man on GBH charge after police officer attacked in Addington Street in Margate

A man accused of assaulting a police officer has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
Joshua Chapman is suspected of assaulting the PC after he was stopped in Addington Street in Margate at around 4pm on Wednesday.
The officer was taken to hospital with facial injuries but is expected to make a full recovery.
Chapman, of Durham Hill in Dover, appeared at Margate Magistrates' Court today where he was remanded in custody.
The 26-year-old will appear at Canterbury Crown Court on November 25.
