A 15-year-old girl has been charged with four counts of assault after officers were repeatedly spat at in an Asda supermarket and at a police station.
Police were called to the Broadstairs store at about 10.40am on Sunday to reports of a disturbance, and while attempting to return the teenager home, a PC had a lamp thrown at him.
Another PC was then spat at, before the girl - who had refused to leave the Westwood Road store - was taken into custody at Canterbury police station.
At the station, another officer was kicked in the arm and spat at, while a fourth officer was spat at three times.
A girl from Herne Bay has since been charged with four counts of assaulting an emergency worker and one count of criminal damage.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is due to appear before Folkestone Magistrates' Court today.
