Two girls aged 13 and 11 have allegedly been approached by a man in a black car.
On both occasions, one in Westbrook and one in Birchington, the girls were reportedly asked to get into the car but declined.
The 13-year-old was walking along Canterbury Road, Margate at about 8.40pm on Monday, May 14 when a black Mercedes car came towards her.
A man asked her to get in the car but she declined and walked away.
The man did not get out of the car and no physical contact was made.
Officers are also investigating a report of a similar incident on Tuesday, May 15 shortly after 4pm, when an 11-year-old girl was walking down Minnis Road in Birchington when she was approached by a man in a dark-coloured car who offered her a lift home.
She said no and was able to walk home without further issue.
Anyone with information about the first incident is asked to contact police on 01843 222289 quoting 14-1380, and similarly for the second, quoting 15-0889.
Enquiries are ongoing for both reports and currently officers are keeping an open mind as to whether they might be linked.
