A spokesman for the surgery said: "Due to the extreme weather and temperatures of 31 degrees inside the portacabins at the Garlinge site, which is unacceptable for patients and staff, with permission from Thanet CCG we are seeing all patients at The Limes Medical Centre from today.

"We will be monitoring the situation and keeping patients informed on our website and poster on the surgery door.

"Any questions should be directed to the practice management team at The Limes Medical Centre 01843 222788."
