Police have renewed their appeal for information after a 33-year-old woman went missing from her home in Cliftonville last month.

Officers say they are "becoming increasingly concerned" for the welfare of Luiri El-Hagrasi, also known locally as Laura, who has not been seen since Thursday, April 23.

Inquiries have found she travelled with her family to Heathrow airport on the day before she was reported missing, but never boarded a plane.

Luiri El-Hagrasi, who may also use the surname 'Ahmed', is Eastern European and 5ft 4ins tall with straight, shoulder-length brown hair and green eyes.

She originates from Riga in Latvia and the day before she was reported missing was believed to have been heading to Heathrow with her husband and children in order to fly to Egypt.

But Laura never boarded a plane and it remains unclear whether she has attempted to leave the country by other means or is still in England.

Police inquiries have revealed that the family travelled to Heathrow in a hire car - a silver Peugeot 208, registration AK13 VHT - leaving home at 3.20am on Wednesday, April 22 and arriving in the Heathrow area just prior to 10am.

DI Richard Vickery said: "Her family are very worried about Laura, as her disappearance is completely out of character.

"We are keeping an open mind as to where she may have gone, but it has now been more than a week since anyone had contact with her and we are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare."

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard from Laura, or who may have seen the vehicle travelling to Heathrow on 22 April, to contact them on 01634 884010. Alternatively call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
