A derelict plot of land in Ramsgate High Street with planning permission is to go under the hammer.

The site, which has blighted the town for several years, can have up to 14 flats built on it.

Approved plans are for a four-storey building, containing eight two-bedroom flats and six one-bedroom flats.

The 0.17 plot, at 81-85 High Street, has a freehold guide price of £280-290,000.

David Henwood, senior auction valuer, said: "This represents a fantastic opportunity to develop a large block of flats in a central location is Ramsgate.

A four-storey building with planning permission to create three units is also up for grabs.

The end-terrace property, at 79 High Street, Ramsgate, has a freehold guide price of £185-195,000.
