Police hunt hooded man who sexually assaulted woman as she walked along Cumberland Road in Cliftonville

Police are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a woman as she walked along a road in Cliftonville.

The suspect is reported to have indecently touched her as she made her way along Cumberland Road between 8.45pm and 10.15pm on Tuesday. (Nov 26)

The man is described as white, aged between 18 and 25, around 5ft 5ins tall with a slim build, and was wearing dark bottoms and a hooded top with white around the hood.

Police Constable Tremayne Law, Kent Police’s investigating officer for the case, said: "Although this incident happened at night, we believe there were several members of the public in the area who may have information that can help with our enquiries.

"It may not have been obvious that an offence had taken place, however any information, no matter how small it may seem, could be of huge assistance to our investigation."
