Picture released after seven assaulted in Ramsgate seafront attack

Police investigating a series of assaults on a seafront have released a picture of a man they want to speak to.

Seven people were injured in the rampage in Harbour Parade, Ramsgate.

Two women and a man were taken to hospital with facial injuries after being punched in the early hours of this morning.

Four others - two women and two men - were also assaulted but did not need hospital treatment.

Police were called to the scene just before 4.30am today to a report a man "had assaulted a number of people".

A spokesman for the force said: "Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers would like to hear from anyone who recognises the man in the image.
