A young entrepreneur and "Queen of Bling" has added a second venue to her series of businesses, with chandeliers, velvet seating and silver glitter wallpaper throughout.

Charlotte Silver, who already runs events venue Silver's in Margate, has now opened a cocktail bar, Ronnie's, on Ramsgate's Harbour.

The bar is decorated with floor-to-ceiling sparkly silver wallpaper, a waterfall chandelier over a pink bar, silver velvet seats and a whole host of other blingy details.

The 24-year-old has "always loved pink and glitter" and likes the "Essex vibe" which has inspired the new bar.

"The glitter has become a sort of trademark, mostly because of my name," she said.

"My mum and I love lots of bling."

When the building in Ramsgate came on the market, Ms Silver says it was "too good to miss".

"It's in a great location with lots of other bars nearby," she added.

But the impressive makeover of the building was a huge undertaking, as the businesswoman was only handed the keys 24 days before opening.

She says she was "determined to open for Christmas", which she managed to achieve with the help of her mum and husband Jack Packman - her "biggest supporters".

Ms Silver added: "Business has been going really well since we opened Ronnie's on Christmas Eve.

"The community have been really supportive."

Ms Silver also owns Silver Slipper Dance School, on the ground floor of her events venue - Silver's.

"Ronnie's is a bit off topic, as all my other businesses have Silver in their name," she said.

"It's called Ronnie's after my Grandad who sadly passed away.

"He was a massive part of my life, so it's in memory of him."

Ms Silver enrolled in dance college at 18, but when health issues put an early end to her career, she invested money her grandfather had left her into her dance studio, which opened in 2016.

"It's what he would have wanted - to give children opportunities," she said.

Ms Silver and husband, who got married in July, are also very involved in the community.

This year the "dream team" organised the Christmas tree and light switch-on in Cecil Square, Margate.

No stranger to the glamorous lifestyle, Ms Silver recently won a national beauty pageant and currently holds the title of Miss Diamond UK.

In July, she will be jetting off to Vegas to compete internationally.

Ronnie's serves a variety of cocktails, and will soon be hosting themed nights, brunches and live music.
