Scores of tributes have been pouring in to a young man described as "a genuine diamond" who died after the car he was in hit a wall at Kingsgate near Broadstairs.
James Plummer died after the black Citroen Saxo was involved in a second collision with a wall at George Hill Road, near the garden centre, on Friday night.
Family, friends and colleagues have left messages on a Facebook page set up in memory of 28-year-old Mr Plummer, from the Margate area.
The page, James Plummer Thanet Kent RIP, was set up by Gemma Keklik in memory of her "big bro".
She wrote: "James was a beloved brother, son, brother-in-law and uncle, we will always miss you. You are forever in our hearts. We love you always."
Friend Lee Hudson said: "What a honour it was to know you. We had so many great times.
"I have so many great memories and will always smile about our times in the kitchen."
And Jackie Clayton said: "James was one of the nicest people to know never rude, kind hearted and a loyal friend. He will be greatly missed."
On Twitter, Hollie Prior described Mr Plummer as "a genuine diamond".
Police officers from the serious collision investigation unit are appealing for information about the crash.
Officers were initially called by a member of the public to North Foreland Road where the Citroen car had hit a garden wall at around 11.35pm.
The car had continued and, a short time later, crashed into the second wall about two miles away near the garden centre.
Paramedics attended, but Mr Plummer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses or anyone with information is asked to phone Kent Police on 01622 798538, quoting incident 20-1911.
