The life support machine of a 37-year-old man who fell from a third-storey window has been switched off.
Andrew Lee was left fighting for his life after being flown to King's College Hospital in London following the incident last night in Union Crescent, Margate.
His brother, Darren Lee, confirmed on social media this morning that his life support machine had been turned off.
He has set up a fundraising page to help towards the funeral costs.
Writing on the page, Darren said his brother had been suffering from depression.
He sustained catastrophic injuries in the fall and was airlifted to London.
'This has come at the worst possible time with what’s going in the world at present' - Darren Lee
Mr Lee said: "He was on a life support machine but sadly that has been turned off as his family has been to see him, plus there is no cure for getting better as he is in a critical way.
"This has come at the worst possible time with what’s going on in the world at present and is a massive shock to family and friends.
"I would appreciate it if you could spare some change to help us with his funeral costs to give him a great send off.
"Please don’t suffer in silence and there is help out there. The devastation this is having on family right now is unreal."
Police and paramedics were called to the scene yesterday just before 7.30pm.
The road was cordoned off while emergency services responded to the incident.
Union Crescent later reopened at about 10.30pm.
