A luxury 21-room hotel boasting a rooftop bar and two restaurants is set to open on Margate's seafront.
The new £155-a-night venture, called No.42 Margate, will launch at the Marine Drive site that used to be occupied by the Sands Hotel, which closed earlier this year.
It was snapped up for a seven-figure sum by chain GuestHouse - which already has sites in York and Bath - a few months ago.
And now the firm is eyeing up launching the business on the Thanet coast in June.
"Guests stepping inside the elegant, seafront property will find 21 bedrooms, a restaurant, a rooftop bar, a seafront café serving healthy and organic food throughout the day, a lounge space and a spa," a GuestHouse spokesman said.
"This uniquely English seaside property is perfectly placed at the heart of this special, art and fun-filled town.
"The hotel takes its design cues from its location, collaborating with some of Margate’s many creative forces for the interior."
GuestHouse also says the rooms will have "quirks" inside, including a record player and "well-chosen books".
Built in 1888, the building was originally named The Terrace Hotel.
It was built as part of the development of Marine Drive along the seafront.
"The interiors of the rooms celebrate local talent, artists and highly skilled makers from Margate’s abundant creative community." the GuestHouse spokesman added.
"Around each bed will be an entirely individual mural created by local illustrator Laura Ann Coates, which will feature shells, leaves and wave formations.
"No.42, Margate, will embrace all the nostalgia that we know and love from this seaside town.
"The hotel will be ready and waiting to welcome guests for June 2023, for the summer season and beyond."
GuestHouse says reservations will open soon, with prices starting at £155 a night.
