Thanet: A299 Canterbury Road West shut both ways between Monkton Roundabout and St Nicholas At Wade Roundabout

Traffic built up after a main road was closed in both directions following a crash.

The A299 Canterbury Road West was shut both ways due to an accident on the A253 Seamark Road.

It happened between Monkton Roundabout and the A28 Canterbury Road St Nicholas At Wade Roundabout at around 2.30pm.

It was the second major crash on the A299 Thanet Way today.

It comes after motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a crash between two motorbikes.
