Ramsgate stabbing suspect to appear at court charged with intent to cause grievous bodily harm

A 25-year-old man has been charged following a stabbing in Ramsgate high street.
The victim was left with a wound to his torso and was rushed to a London hospital in a serious condition on Saturday morning.
He was approached from behind and assaulted near to the high street's junction with Hardes Street at about 4.25am.
Police issued an appeal for witnesses over the weekend, and officers have since made an arrest.
Daniel Haine, from Birchington, has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possessing a bladed article.
The Station Road resident will appear at Folkestone Magistrates’ Court today.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man from Ramsgate has been released on bail until Friday, May 20.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone who might have private CCTV in the area around the high street.

The victim of the attack, who is in his 30s, is believed to be in a serious yet stable condition.
