Van stopped by police in Ramsgate full of cannabis cultivation equipment

Police stopped a van in the early hours of the morning and found it to be full of cultivation equipment and cannabis plants.
The van was pulled over shortly after midnight in Hollicondane Road in Ramsgate.
On speaking to the driver, officers became suspicious of his responses to their questions, prompting a search of the vehicle.
During the search, boxes and bags were found, containing soil and growing equipment, as well as a number of plants.
A 26-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply.
He remains in custody while inquiries are ongoing.
