Cliftonville: Man arrested after drugs and cash seized from flat in Athelstan Road

A man has been arrested following a drug raid at a flat in Cliftonville.

Officers carried out a search warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act at the property in Athelstan Road yesterday.

They seized a quantity of Class A and B drugs, mobile phones, drugs paraphernalia and cash.

A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs.

He was been released while inquiries continue.

Detective Constable Rebecca Mross said: "This warrant was the latest action in our ongoing fight to disrupt people who are involved in the use of illegal drugs in Thanet."

"We will protect the public from harm and ensure an effective response to those who are most vulnerable in our communities."
