A police car crashed following a chase with a suspect.
Officers launched a pursuit in Ramsgate after seeing a suspicious vehicle through the town earlier today.
Witnesses earlier reported seeing police on blue lights following a blue Ford Focus at around 11.40am.
Residents on social media posted saying they had seen the chase through Nixon Avenue, Clements Road and Fairlight Avenue.
A photo shared on Facebook this afternoon showed damage to the front bumper of the police vehicle.
No officers are believed to have been injured in the crash.
A police spokesman said: "A vehicle in the St Luke’s Avenue area of Ramsgate failed to stop when requested by officers to do so, and it was found abandoned a short time later in Fairlight Avenue.
"Following a search of the area, a man was arrested in connection with the incident."
