A man was attacked on his doorstep and blackmailed by two rogue callers who police are now hunting.
Officers were called after a man was hurt at his home in Margate.
Detectives today released an image of a man they want to question in connection with the incident at a property in Vincent Farm Mews which left the victim with injuries to his face.
Police said the man in his 30s was assaulted when two men knocked at the door and assaulted him before demanding money from him and threatening him further harm.
But the duo left empty-handed after the incident at around 5.10pm on January 28 and did not return to the house.
A computer generated image has been released by police today to track them down.
A police spokesman said: "Officers have released an image of one of the men, who was described as white and of a medium build. He was clean-shaven, 5ft 6ins tall, and aged in his late 30s. He wore a cap over very short light hair, and a beige top.
"The second man was described as white with a large build and aged in his early 30s. He had dark hair and was wearing grey jogging bottoms."
Anyone with information or who recognises the man can contact Kent Police on on 01843 222289 quoting 46/18702/19 or Crimestoppers in Kent anonymously on 0800 555111.
