Man charged after fatal Cliftonville crash

A Thanet man has been charged following a fatal traffic incident in Cliftonville earlier this year.
Roland Keith Shandley, known as Keith, suffered multiple injuries when he was struck by a vehicle in Eastern Esplanade on January 30.
The 58-year-old was taken to the QEQM hospital in Margate but pronounced dead on arrival.
Martin Davenport, 39, of Dalmeny Avenue, Cliftonville, is charged with five offences, including causing death by careless driving and failing to stop or report a road traffic collision.
He has been bailed to appear before magistrates in Margate on Tuesday, June 23.
